2015 surgical strikes inside Myanmar
Indian Army Para Special Force was deployed to conduct cross border surgical operations in Myanmar against NSCN-K terror launchpad in return of a ghastly attack on an Indian Army 6 Dogra Regiment convoy near the Myanmar border in the Chandel district of Manipur on 4 th June 2015, which led to the killing of 18 Indian Army soldiers, and before the operation, intelligence was collected through a number of channels, using satellites and via drones and intercepting radio communication.
The Para SF commandos took 15 kilometers of trekking in deep jungle before they arrived at the destination of the terror camps of the NSCN-K terrorist organisation, where the Para SF commandos caused a brutal strike by employing any kind of weapon, such as anti tank missile, sniper rifles, assault rifles, and special carbines, not to mention hand grenades. As one team was engaged to carry out the operation, another team was engaged to create an outer ring of security for the commandos, and also keep an eye that not even a single terrorist can flee their wrath, a Mil Mi-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force was also kept on stand-by to rescue the commandos.
The entire operation got completed in some 40 minutes, and over 150 terrorists have been wiped out in the terror camp on the other side of the border, after which India officially alerted the world of the cross-border attack, not to mention telling the media as well that they have informed Myanmar of what they did and that they have been cooperating with India.
